I'm sure you have your sources too, and their irrelevant when you come to accept that blackjack and furthermore gambling is not a quick ticket to riches, it's not even a means to make a steady gain. Because sodapoppin is a successful individual, I attributed his blackjack playing to success, and something that can be 'beaten' or 'acquired' with enough time and practice on it. 5 years ago i saw this guy betting 1k chips like it was nothing, and then seeing thousands of viewers positively responding to it with monetary donations and messages, and my immature brain paired those two things as cause and effect. I know personally the movie '21' and the twitch streamer 'sodapoppin' were the sources of my delusions regarding blackjack. I don't remember the exact, numbers, nor do I really care anymore, but it was something along the lines of 60/30 where the 12 won't bust on the turn hit. If you look at the numbers in more detail, for example a 12 vs a 2-3, I stood in that spot for a while until learning later on that you're supposed to hit, and why. Basic strategy literally just makes you lose slower by making the strongest possible move for every situation based on computer simulations, a lot of them. These guys, and myself included, are here to help.
